Her Berden
Her Burden are a pop-rock four piece born and raised in Leicestershire, UK. Fronted by Joshua Jones, the band began with himself alone going on to create a full length album of diverse tracks (in which the multi-talented Joshua played every instrument and handled every element of production). Joshua was later joined by Luke Spencer (Guitar), Matthew White (Bass) and Matthew Newton (Drums). Inspired by old-school pop-punk legends Green Day and Sum41, they also take influence from the likes of The Rolling Stones and Daft Punk. Creatively combining the raw energy and honesty of punk rock with the memorable hooks associated with mainstream pop. However, they do not see themselves as your stereotypical pop-punk band as the diverse range of musical interest within the band has led to the creation of an alternative pop-rock sound.

As a trio (before Mathew Newton was introduced) they spent 2015 writing, recording and performing live acoustically. During this time they released their first single 'Psychopath' along with a music video, independently filmed and released by themselves and close friends. During the summer of 2015 Her Burden devoted a great deal of time and energy into recording their first E.P as a full band titled 'Lately', released January 2016. Since the release of 'Lately' the new boys on the Leicester music scene have been busy trying to build a reputation with the hard work they put into their live shows and in the studio. This release has also lead to another self made music video to accompany the title track as well as 'On Your Own' being featured on BBC Introducing.

Her Burden are currently working hard both on and off the stage, perfecting every aspect of their music and performance. In just one year they have already come along way since the backroom sessions at Luke's house and show no intentions of slowing down.
