TV Comedian Brings Laughter to Darley Dale

Funhouse Comedy Club brings a night of laughter to The Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale on Friday June 17th.

Headlining will be 2011 Radio 2 ‘New Comedy Award’ champion Angela Barnes, who has appeared on TV’s ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’ and ‘Mock the Week’, as well as a number of Radio shows. With her confident sharp delivery and skilful, hard-hitting lines she leaves the crowd laughing all the way home.

Supporting is Anthony King with his droll deadpan humour and intelligent one-liners. He was thrown out of the Catholic Church for confessing in too much detail and decided to turn to comedy. His mix of stand-up, dark, dry, silly and disturbing songs are both amusing and intriguing.

Completing the line-up will be James Cook. An award-winning commercial radio presenter and stand-up comedian his laid back attitude, dry sense of humour and quick tongue are a rare mix that always captivates his audiences.

Compere for the night will be the warm and welcoming Spiky Mike.
