Molecular at The Hairy Dog

Molecular was founded in 2010 by Enablers vocalist Pete Simonelli (words, vocals) and Lynn Wright of And The Wiremen (guitar) on a whim. Always an inclusive project, Molecular has seen a broad cast of musicians come and go in its highly rotational flux of instrumentation, musicianship and fearlessness in performances around New York City and Spain. It is a "feel" oriented collection of players and ideas that likes the steady yet shape-shifting spirit of improvisation. Simonelli's poems take on variable structures and tones when confronted with the random and intuitive play of Wright's musical alterations, and neither music or words ever settle into a precise definition. This particular incarnation of the group will include Simon Goff (And the Wiremen) on violin, Sam Ospovat (Enablers) on drums and Algis Kizys (Swans, Of Cabbages and Kings) on bass.

A backdrop to each performance will feature live projections made especially for this tour.

Support comes in the shape of Derby's own two piece, power house, noise machine Biscuit Mouth.
