Comedy Night at The Blessington CarriageDate: Sun 22nd Apr Time: 20:00 Clean Comedy Gong Show in Derby Funhouse Comedy once again brings its “Should I Stay or Should I Go?” competition to the Blessington Carriage, Derby on Monday April 30th, but this time with a difference! For the first time ever at the club, the 15 new comedians will be challenged to only perform clean material and try to convince the audience that they should be the winner on the night. If they slip up, they can be voted off! A fun-filled night where audience members become the judges and decide who is crowned the winner. If they decide the acts should go, then they have to leave but if they decide the acts should stay the selected comics get one more chance to be crowned champion. Everyone then gets the opportunity to show support for their favourite and the winner is chosen. It’ll be competitive, friendly and fun with the comics having an extra challenge in trying to keep their material clean. Promoter and compere Spiky Mike said, ’We often hear audience members say that they don't like acts swearing a lot or doing crude material, so we thought we would set the comedians the task of doing a fully clean night. If they get on prime-time TV they need to be clean, so it will be a good discipline for them’. The shows at The Blessington Carriage are always popular so you are advised to book tickets early to avoid disappointment.
