Derby Festival Comedy Special at the Market Place Marquee

Funhouse Comedy as part of the Derby Comedy Festival, brings a laughter-packed night to the Market Place Marquee, Derby on Saturday June 14th.

Headlining will be a current favourite entertainer of the troops, Phil Walker. Starting out at the likes of Butlins he went on to win Manchester’s ‘City Life Comedian of the Year’, (previous winners being Peter Kay and Steve Coogan). His cheeky smile and warm persona are backed-up by the unique ability to state the obvious, in both an entertaining and subtle way. His energy and pace ensure that he is loved by audiences wherever he goes.

Supporting will be the bizarre and bold David Trent with his distinctive visual displays. He crafts a unique style of comedy which fascinates his audiences and leaves them questioning the meaning of it all.

Also appearing will be multi-award winning ‘Kiwi’ Sully O’Sullivan. He won his first national award less than 12 months after his first attempt at stand-up and has been acknowledged as a highlight of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival by The NZ Herald and a highlight of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival by The Scotsman. Enthusiastically self-assured, his sharp ire and amusing playfulness draws the audience into his world, where they are happy to stay.

The warm and welcoming Spiky Mike will be host and compere on the night.
